Carroll County Schools, Va., will hold registration for children entering kindergarten for the 2010-2011 school year during regular school hours. Children must be 5-years-old by Sept. 30, 2010, in order to enroll.

PC PROWL AAU DRIBBLE AND SHOOT COMPETITION: rescheduled from Feb. 26; for ages six to 13, boys' and girls' divisions; first, second and third place awards for each age group; $10 per participant; 10 foul shots, 30 seconds of lay-ups, timed dribbling competition; concessions available, registration at 6 p.m., contests begin at 7 p.m., Patrick County High School gyms.

At 3:00 PM on March 14th, the Carroll County Historical Society is pleased to present a lecture and slide show recounting the story of the Carroll County Courthouse Tragedy which occurred on this date in 1912.

DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT: proceeds will help cover the cost of the junior-senior prom; single elimination tournament, limit of 32 teams of eight players may be made up of high school students or adults or a combination of each; $5 per person or $40 per team must be paid when registering; admission: $5, children under three admitted free; concessions available, registration forms available by calling 694-7137 or in the front office of Patrick County High School, 7 p.m., PCHS gym.
