Roanoke, Va.--Celtic Thunder, a group of six Celtic male vocalists who topped Billboard's World Album chart last year, is coming to Roanoke, Va. for the first time ever with two performances on Oct. 17, 2010.
Dugspur Rescue Squad Building, 118 Double Cabin Road, Dugspur. On the first Friday of each month, the Dugspur Rescue Squad Auxillary sponsors a jam session at the Dugspur Rescue Squad Building.
Jam sessions are held every Friday night at 7 p.m. at the Willis Gap Community Center, The Hollow Rd., Ararat. There is no charge for admission, and food and drinks are available. The event is sanctioned by the Crooked Road Heritage Music Trail and all musicians are invited to bring their instruments.
Jamming in Jamsburg in Lambsburg, Va., is held every Friday from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Community Center. Bluegrass, old-time, gospel and other types of music will be playing.
