Congress’ Big Spenders from Virginia

The National Taxpayers Union has now issued its ratings for members of Congress. With a possible "A" score of 90 or above, Virginia senators, Warner (11) and Webb (13), earned "F"s. Virginia Ninth District Congressman Rick Boucher earned a score of 10, another "F".

I have been trying to digest the comments made by Rick Boucher at this week's dog & pony show at SVCC. While he may have fooled some of the people, I believe that the majority of us in Virginia's 9th Congressional District are smarter than that.

The Tebow Commercial Controversy

This morning I heard an interview discussing the furor over CBS choosing to air a Focus on the Family commercial during the NFL Superbowl. Yes, it's a Christian organization. Yes, the commercial is a pro-life commercial about Tim Tebow's mother being advised to have an abortion when she was pregnant with him.
