I have been seeing a TV commercial claiming that "Rick Boucher listens" and I would like to share my thoughts on that. Rick Boucher does indeed listen, but not to those he pretends to represent. We all know he listens to the ever popular Nancy Pelosi, his boss.
There was a closet under the stairs in my childhood home. It had a slatted door and was big enough to sit in comfortably. What the closet held was something I didn’t realize was special until much, much later.
I wish I could write to you today with a more positive topic, but this is one I believe we cannot let slip away. In case you didn't catch the news, the leader of the Philadelphia Black Panthers called for the murder of white people. I kid you not. Read the full post and watch the video footage here. Most of your typical economic analysts have never lived through a really tough period of time. For the most part, excluding a couple of short recessions, they have only experienced the good times. To them, a depression is outside their frame of reference. It has never happened in their lives, so it isn’t imaginable. It is the same for most people.
I sometimes hear folks talking about "who's looking out for the little guy". Usually, the topic comes up in discussions about income, health care, and other aspects of human life. Many times references are made to a political party or politicians. Americans have to ask themselves, who's really looking out for us 'little guys'?
