ROANOKE — A Fancy Gap man pleaded guilty to a charge of distribution of methamphetamine in U.S. District Court in Roanoke Monday. A federal grand jury indicted Cory Johnathan Dowell last May of possessing more than 50 grams of a mixture containing meth, a schedule II narcotic, according to court papers. Dowell appeared in the federal court to answer the charge, stemming from an arrest last August, and entered a guilty plea. Read more: Dowell pleads guilty to drug charges
