The Voice singer Christina Grimmie was deadly shot and killed by a 27 year old white male. According to Police, Kevin James Loibl traveled to Orlando from a different city predetermined to kill Christina. Christina was shot when she was signing autographs for her fans after finishing her shows. Kevin shot and killed himself afterwards.
Orlando police Chief John Mina stated that police is investigating this case in order to find a motive. According to police, there was no sign that shows, Christina knew her killer from her past. The gunman came and opened fire and killed Christina. The Board and the staff at the Plaza live venue are enormously disheartened by this tragic incident and wrote a statement on their facebook page “Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those lost as well of those who witnessed and aided in the recovery after this senseless act.”
Many people who have witnessed this shocking incident couldn’t believe what has happened at first glance. Sheina Almaguer from Kissimmee stated that she was in the audience and was waiting for the tour bus when this happened. Sheina thought this was a prank. “A few minutes later, people were just running out and this one girl comes and cries on the floor,”
Christina Grimmie had a huge fan base in YouTube and she also took part in the voice sixth season. She finished in the third position in the talent hunt show. #PrayforChristina is trending on Twitter. Fans from all over the world are showing their support and love for her grief stricken family of Christina. “The voice” released a statement on twitter “We lost a beautiful soul with an amazing voice. Our hearts go out to the friends, fans and family of @TheRealGrimmie.”
Brian Teefey, from LH7 Management which used to manage Christina’s work stated “words cannot begin to describe the pain I am feeling. I learned this business through the eyes of a father and Christina was like a second daughter to me .All I wanted to do was assist her in achieving her musical dreams while protecting her from the pitfalls associated with the business. I never could have imagined this horrific event being one of the pitfalls needing to be avoided.”
